NGA Hooters Tour - Cutter Creek Classic - Snow Hill, NC

NGA/Hooters Tour descends on Cutter Creek
Second Round Update: Brandon Brown ties course record, moves to 2nd-

Snow Hill, N.C.
- July 15, 2011 - A day after setting the course record with a 9-under 63 at Cutter Creek Golf Club, Jason Cuthberston shot a 2-under 70 on Friday to maintain control of the NGA/Hooters Tour Cutter Creek Golf Classic heading into the weekend.
Cuthbertson, of Conway, Ark., started the day with a two-shot lead, but the University of Arkansas alumnus ran into trouble early in the second round. Cuthbertson bogeyed three of his first seven holes before rallying with four birdies over his final 10 holes to finish at 11-under par for the tournament and keep the outright lead in the $200,000 event.
Brandon Brown, who has two wins this season, matched Cuthberston’s course record with a 63 of his own on Friday. Brown, of Shelbyville, Ky., birdied his first hole of the day and stayed hot, shooting a front-side 30 and moving to 10-under par for the day with an eagle on his 14th hole. Unfortunately for Brown, a bogey on his final hole of the day left him one shot out of the lead and tied for the course record.
